ANNETTE HIMSTEDT PUPPEN KINDER DOLLS IN ORIGINAL BOXES
Annette Himstedt is a German doll artist who made incredibly beautiful vinyl and prcelain dolls from the early 1980's until 2009. She began by making children dolls based on neighborhood children and capturing their personality and charm in her facial sculpts. She was featured in many magazines and gain popularity extremely quickly.
She started her career with procelain dolls and added vinyl dolls some years later.
In 1986 she made her dolls more readily available to a broader audience by building a production plants to produce vinyl dolls.
She named them Puppen Kinder (German for Doll Children) and the success was sensational. Before it closed in 2008, Annette would old Open House days and give tours of the facilities to collectors from all over the world.
She also became well known for her children dolls based on different cultures from around the world. She designed and made every piece of the original dolls and oversaw the production of each of the dolls in her factory in Paderborn, Germany.
Annette sculpted the faces and bodies. engineered the jointing, designed and produced the clothing, styled the wigs and painted the final bits by hand. She began making her hard vinyl swivel head dolls with a cloth lower torso, vinyl arms and legs, inset
eyes, real eyelashes, feathered eyebrows, human wig and bare feet in 1986 until
2008.

Her dolls are beautiful, and have become truly collectors items.
Her first models were known as the "Barefoot Children" and a new collection followed annually consisting of 3-4 dolls.
