Joanne Walker doll stands 30" (76cm) and was made in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1950's. She was sold in a lace trimmed frock and matching bonnet. This was taken from the book "Australian Dollmakers a History" by Marjory Fainges.
Joanne doll is wearing what I believe to be her original pink dress, with her original pink shoes. Her pink bonnet is vintage but is not original to Joanne but a very good match to the outfit. There is some wear to the dress - see pictures, and a rust mark to one of the sleeves.
Joanne is over 60 years old and as such has a some marks and scrapes which are consistent with age.

Her face is very pretty with all original face paint. Her piercing blue eyes tend to stick but can be helped to open and shut when required.

We are unsure as to who actually made this doll, but believe she may be an early 1950 Australian doll. She appears to be wearing her original bridal outfit which is just gorgeous.
She is approx 20" tall, and is not a walker doll but has the toddler body which is strung with elastic cord.
She has:
tan type body paint cover over her body and limbs
.open and shut piercing blue eyes (like Joanne Walker doll)
.original complete eyelashes to both eyes
.original painted eyebrows
.original red paint to mouth
.original two teeth in mouth
.original black saran curly wig
. can sit and stand and hold a pose unaided
Her vintage outfit is very pretty and extremely well made.
It consists of:
.white taffeta original panties
.white taffeta and tulle half petticoat to add volume to wedding dress
.white taffeta wedding dress with overlay of vintage lace and tulle (some of the lace at the bodice has given way but really cannot be seen unless pointed out.
.original tulle wedding veil with vintage material flowers as the head dress (a couple of rips to the veil)
.matching floral material bridal bouquet
.vintage Cinderella No4 white shoes
vintage nylon socks
Things to be told for honesty and accuracy:
.not really sure if she is made of composition or hard plastic but the tan colour looks like it may have been painted on as there are wear marks on the colour
.mama grille on back of body but mama does not work
.side seams of legs have been repaired
.eyes are stuck and do not automatically shut as they are supposed to do
.under the edges of the wig you can see moulded curls just like some of the Pedigree dolls.
She is a lovely doll who is still able to tell a tale after 60 years even though she does show some wear to her.

She has no nibbles or chew marks to her anywhere.
