We believe this pretty doll to be a French reproduction porcelain bebe doll with the markings on the back of the head :

By far of the most highly sought after and highly prized antique dolls are the beautiful French Bebe from such makers as Jules Steiner, Jemeau, A Thulliier, Bru and others.
We believe that this may be a mold made by Seeley and she may be called Amber.
 Amber has an all porcelain body.





She has:
a porcelain socket head,
porcelain arms and legs which can be moved to different directions
.strawberry blonde wig with a fringe and hair with a little turn up at the ends.
.a pate under her wig.
open brown glass eyes,
painted multi stroked eyebrows,
painted lower eyelashes,
painted pink in each nostril,
painted pouty pink lips,
.nice amount of blush to both cheeks.
.She can stand and sit by herself and poses very nicely.

She is dressed in a lovely little outfit.
Her dress is made from a cotton type fabric which has a  lovely  cream with blue floral print on it.  It has a V collar which is cream in colour and is trimmed with lace and very fine blue satin ribbon and puffed sleeves. It is done up at the back with velcroe. She is wearing a half two layered broderie anglaise petticoat and white pantaloons which are edged with lace.  On her feet are little white vinyl shoes and socks.

 This doll is just lovely and if you can't afford the real thing, then this French Bebe is the next best thing for your collection.

This pretty toddler doll is an artist reproduction of an antique made by JDK (Kestner) from Germany .
The doll has been very well painted, and looks like a professional job. The doll artist is unknown as she has not put her name anywhere.

She has the following markings on her head:-
MADE IN GERMANY 16
JDK 237
She has:
.porcelain head
.all porcelain body
.open glass blue eyes
.painted auburn eyebrows
.auburn curly long hair - a little wispy
.blush to cheeks
.bent arms and straight legs
.socket neck
.open pink mouth with two white teeth
.perhaps stringing is a little loose but could be fixed
.small chip/crack to side of one arm socket - see photo
.doll stand will come with her which will aid her to stand

She is wearing a delightful green and red tartan check material dress with a white yoke trimmed with lace, and matching hat.  Underneath the dress she has a half white petticoat sewn to the dress, and white panties.  On her feet are vintage white socks and vintage black Mary Jane type shoes.
