This lovely golli soft toy was made in Australia by Australian toy company called Jakas.
Jakas Toy Company began production in Melbourne, Victoria in 1954 and finished production in late 1980.
Their soft toys were very popular and have become highly collectable over time.
The Jakas tag on his leg is red print on a white label which makes him being made in 1980.
He comes with:
. stitched tag to bottom of his leg
.soft black hair all over the back of his head and not just a strip at the top like most other golli's.
. white plastic button type eyes with black painted eyeballs (repainted)
. hand stitched red eyebrows
.hand stitched red nose
.hand stitched red smiley mouth
. not jointed.
. red and white checkered cotton fabric sewn on shirt
.red cotton pants
.black fur hands
.black fur feet
He is in excellent condition and is over 30 years old.

His outfit is non removable and sewn onto his black hands and black feet.
He has 3 black buttons down his front with a frill around his neck.
His eyes have been made with felt as his red mouth, and are glued on.
He has a stripe of black perhaps woollen hair glued to the top of his head. Please look at the photos

This is a rare wooden golli/golly.
His head is a wooden circle which has painted features with sparse long wispy curly hair.
His body feels like a wooden square underneath the clothes.
His arms are made out of a wire type fabric covered item, and these arms can be pushed into different positions. His hands are wooden balls - see photos.
His legs are made of the same item as his arms- see photos, and his feet are made of wood. They can be moved to different positions.
His red jacket feels like felt and he has a clock attached to it which is made out of wood and plastic with painted clock features.
Underneath the jacket he has on an all in one blue and white striped cotton outfit with a blue and white striped bow tie.
Very unusual.
There is some wear to the black paint on his feet.
