Vintage 1979 Gerber Black African American Baby Doll 17"(43cm) in Original Box - AUD$125.00
This lovely doll has never been removed from her box and we did not remove her for any of our photos. She has specially sulptured vinyl head, arms and legs, polyester filled body which drip dries easily. She has black moulded hair with raised curls on her forehead. Her googly eyes move from sided to side and are non removable. She is in original outfit with easily removable Velcro fastener bib and skirt. The box is in good condition with only a couple of rip marks at the front, has original cellophane window which is complete but the glue has deteriorated over the period of time and cellophane has come loose. We were able to take some close up photos of her still in the box minus the covering of cellophane. She is in as new condition and has been in someone's collection. She has original hangtags, and paperwork from Gerber.

Vintage Ideal 13" (33cm)Tiny Tears Black Doll 1982 Reissue -- AUD $65.00 Mint in Box (MIB)
We have a cute little jointed doll for sale who has never been removed from her original box. The front cellophane window has deteriorated over time and has been removed. Tiny is wearing her original hairnet over her black short curly rooted hair. She has lovely open brown eyes which are fringed with original eyelashes. Her pink mouth has a hole in it for her bottle. She is all vinyl and a drink and wet doll who cries real tears with her baby bottle. She is a reissue of the original 1982 doll. She is wearing her original blue cotton dress with little blue panties. She has her original hang tag on her wrist, and a leaflet which explains how she works.

VINTAGE PLAYMATES AA (AFRICAN AMERICAN) BLACK/BROWN BABY GROWS DOLL 1989 IN ORIGINAL BOX -CLOTHES, HAIRBRUSH AUD $75.00
This doll is very hard to find, and particularly in her original box with instructions and hairbrush.
Baby Grows is made of brown/black vinyl plastic on her head, arms and legs and her body is a harder plastic. At the back of her body is a little winder which is turned and makes her grow from an infant to a toddler.
She is such a little cutey, she grows from a 9 months old to 4 years old. Have a look at her face, when she is a baby she has no teeth and when she is a toddler she has a mouth full of teeth.
Remarkable.
She has:
.neck cannot be moved
.legs are in the standing position all the time.
. arms are 1/2 fabric so can be moved to different positions.
. pretty face with original open blue eyes,
. original eyebrows
. black rooted short curly hair.
.original pink bow in her hair.
. no chew marks or texta marks on her at all
She is wearing her original tagged clothes an
all in one acqua coloured body grow suit, pink windcheater with balloons and original white vinyl shoes.
Baby grows comes in her original box which does show wear and has been restuck with cellotape by the previous owner.
She also comes with her original pink hairbrush and her original instructions on how to operate her.
To look at her you would think she is virtually brand new instead of being approx 30 years old.
And the best part is SHE DOESN'T REQUIRE BATTERIES.
It is really amazing that she still has her box (shows wear - see photos) as it is usually the first thing which is thrown away.
A lovely example of the 1980 dolls era.

Ruthie is a gorgeous little all vinyl doll who is approx. 32cm tall.
She has:
.rooted perma curl black hair which can be washed, brushed and curled
.washable
.open shut brown eyes
.original eyelashes
jointed at neck, arms and legs
.original tag to arm
.mark to back of neck Horsman T12
.mark to bottom of shoes T3
She is wearing an all original outfit which consists of:
a delightful cotton dress (small mark to back of dress - age related)
.white panties
.white vinyl shoes
.white net socks
She is in her original box which is very tatty but still here to tell the tale. The box has no cellophane front panel.
She is attached to the box with old white pipe cleaners and do not believe they would have been original to her. I have undone these pipe cleaners and taken her out for more photographs so you can see her better.
