7" scottish costume pedigree delite doll aud$55.00
Pedigree made many different types of dolls. The delite dolls were sold often as undressed but many were dressed as character dolls or costume dolls.
This little doll is called "Scottish Lass". She has an all hard plastic body with open and shut sleep blue eyes (tend to stick a little) and movable arms. The legs, body and head are all one piece of plastic.
She has the writing "Pedigree Made in England" on her back.
She has a glued on mohair brown wig and is wearing the famous Scottish tamoshanta hat with a red pom pom.
She has on a black velvet type jacket with lace at the sleeves and neckline. She has her tartan skirt which is done up with a pin, and wears the sporran at the front of her dress. She is wearing a pair of black black panties under her skirt. Her shoes and socks are white and are painted and moulded onto her legs.
A lovely example of the costume delite dolls of circa 1950.
